This marble plaque from the 1st-century CE was erected by two men to commemorate a woman. All three were likely freed slaves or the children of freed slaves.

The inscription is repeated on the reverse side of the stone with two small but significant differences. Identify them.
[side A] D(is) M(anibus) / Aufidiae Epiteu/xis. Ti(berius) Claudius Hermes tutor / et T(itus) Flavius Her/mes amicus / bene merenti / fecerunt.
Commentariolum
1 Epiteu/xis: either an irregular genitive form or an error for the dative Epiteuxi.
